Re-Birth is a mixed-media dance performance that interrogates the boundaries between human motion and algorithmic response. Staged inside a starkly lit cave, the work unfolds as a procedural ritual: a system where every gesture triggers spatial and visual mutations. The performer navigates a shifting terrain of projections, treated not as decoration but as reactive architecture. What emerges is not narrative, but a confrontation between body and system.
Set in three acts, Re-Birth moves through phases of emergence, rupture, and reconfiguration. Each act reprograms the system’s logic, forcing both performer and environment into new alignments.
The dancer’s presence becomes a destabilizing force, pushing against the predictive frame of the algorithm. What begins as choreography mutates into negotiation, exposing the tension between organic impulse and computational control.
